After five weeks of intense training on the Army Cadet Basic Parachutist Course, which ended on Friday August 11th, 2023, 38 Army Cadets demonstrated determination, and perseverance. Cadets from all across Canada are now returning to their corps well equipped to share their experiences and inspire their fellow cadets!
The course was expertly conducted at the Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre at CFB Trenton.
What a proud moment at the graduation parade to all who were presented their wings! Your personal achievements on this course are truly commendable!
In particular to Master Warrant Officer Emmanuel Daoust, of the 2709 Guards Cadet Company, CGG, who was presented the Top Cadet award and the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion Bursary!
The Canadian Airborne Forces Association (CAFA) Rick Hatton, CAFA President, presented each graduating cadet with a serialized “Cadet Parachute Coin” a tradition established by the Airborne Regiment Association of Canada (ARAC) perpetuated now by CAFA.
We also congratulate Cadet Aaron Reid, of the 2959 Pasadena Lions Army Cadet Corps in Newfoundland and Labrador who was presented the Top Jumper Award.
