Former Drill Sergeant, Master Warrant Officer Marcel Michaud, CD, retired.<\/p>\n

Marcel Michaud (1962-2024)<\/span><\/p>\n

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Marcel Michaud, beloved husband of Mrs. Sonia Pag\u00e9, and devoted father to Gabriel Michaud and Paul Michaud (Marilyn Carpi). Marcel was a resident of Lac-Drolet, located in the Granit Regional County Municipality in Estrie, Quebec. He was originally from Qu\u00e9bec City and spent his formative years in Bas-Saint-Laurent.<\/p>\n

Company Sergeant-Major Marcel Michaud retired in 2021 after an exemplary 40-year career in the Canadian Armed Forces. He proudly served with the 6th Battalion, Royal 22nd Regiment (6R22eR) and joined The Canadian Grenadier Guards in 2017.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Marcel played an active role with the Ceremonial Guard during the summers of 2018 and 2019, serving as Company Sergeant-Major. He also conducted\u00a0 two Rifle Section Commander courses during the COVID-19 pandemic and was revered as the Drill Sergeant before his retirement at the age of 60.<\/p>\n

Marcel Michaud passed away in Lac-M\u00e9gantic on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at the age of 62 years and 6 months.<\/p>\n

A religious service will be held in his honor on Monday, December 30, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at St-Samuel de Lac-Drolet Church.<\/p>\n

The urn will be interred at a later date at Beechwood National Military Cemetery, Ottawa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
