On Tuesday, September 26, 2023, with the support of the Regimental Sergeant Major and the Sergeants’ Mess, the Foundation Board of Directors hosted members of the Serving Battalion, the Association, the Guards Club, the 2709 Guards Cadet Company, and the 2023 Scholarship Recipients as they gathered to congratulate them and presented them with their educational funds.\u00a0 Below, for everyone’s ease of reference is the correspondence the Honorary Colonel circulated earlier in September.<\/p>\n

We would like to thank former Honorary Colonel Dick Pound, Foundation Director and member of Council, for his opening remarks which highlighted the importance of this initiative for the entire Regimental Family.\u00a0 The Lieutenant-Colonel Commanding, Lieutenant-Colonel Jose Nu\u00f1ez, also addressed those gathered and thanked all the donors who contributed through financial support, making this evening’s event a reality. Major Brian Tracey was the PMC of the evening.<\/p>\n

The Foundation looks forward to continuing this program for many years to come, with your financial support.\u00a0 It will be launching its fund-raising campaign for 2024 shortly.\u00a0 Please give generously. Our goal is to double the amount raised in 2023 to $20,000.00.<\/p>\n

Au nom de toute la famille r\u00e9gimentaire, j'ai l'honneur d'annoncer les r\u00e9cipiendaires des bourses d'\u00e9tudes de la Canadian Grenadier Guards Foundation pour 2023.<\/p>\n

C'est une mission que la fondation a entam\u00e9e il y a deux ans, en cr\u00e9ant un programme de bourses pour les membres m\u00e9ritants du r\u00e9giment, de l'association, des membres de leur famille proche et du corps des cadets de la garde 2709 (compagnie).<\/p>\n

Le programme 2023 a \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9 et nous nous r\u00e9jouissons de poursuivre ce programme pendant de nombreuses ann\u00e9es, avec votre soutien financier.<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

La Fondation tient \u00e0 remercier tous ceux qui ont soutenu le programme de bourses d'\u00e9tudes en faisant des dons individuels ; ceux qui nous ont dit \u00e0 quel point ce programme est important pour le succ\u00e8s du r\u00e9giment et de la famille r\u00e9gimentaire. Nous remercions en particulier, La Banque Scotia <\/strong>et <\/em>le Association CGG<\/strong><\/em> qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 nos principaux sponsors dans la p\u00e9riode pr\u00e9c\u00e9dant le lancement de 2023!<\/p>\n

Nous encourageons tout le monde \u00e0 envisager de soutenir ce programme de bourses pour 2024, afin qu'il continue \u00e0 offrir une aide financi\u00e8re \u00e0 nos jeunes m\u00e9ritants qui seront nos leaders de demain.<\/p>\n
