The Act of Remembrance<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old,<\/em>
\nAge shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.<\/em>
\nAt the going down of the sun and in the morning<\/em>
\nWe will remember them.<\/em><\/p>\n

The legacy to the veterans I grew up with in the Regiment, Tommy Lasota, Fred Nangraves, Tommy Adcock, Bruce Decambra and many other veterans I’ve met throughout my lifetime and carried together their legacy and mine for so many years after in peace time.<\/p>\n

To those who taught me and others and passed on so many lessons to my generation so we would not have to pay the heavy burden they fought for to ensure we remained free and in country were everyone has a place.<\/p>\n

That no politician, journalist, teacher, protester should rewrite history or deny the events of the past.\u00a0 All the while, pushing their own personal – political agendas and for us to be able to know the truth and not false witness.<\/p>\n

To never forget the heavy price that generations have paid for our freedom as all too often we tend to take our freedom for granted and allow the worst parts of history to sneak back into our lives and repeat itself.\u00a0 Far too many times we look at the present and ask ourselves how we got to this point or how did we let this happen.\u00a0 It helps us recognize that we have no one to blame but ourselves.<\/p>\n

We will remember them.<\/p>\n
